Man is created as a social creature. Since the
creation of man, God did not leave Adam alone, but He also created Eve as
Adam’s mate in facing the coming days. God knew that Adam could not leave alone
in the world because he would not able to fulfil all his needs, he would need
someone else to share all his feelings and problems that he might find, and he
would also need someone to love and to survive his species.
Today, man is still a social creature. No
differences between the first man and us as the modern one. We still need to
interact and to communicate with others like what the first man had done. The
change comes is in the way of people to interact and to communicate. People of
today’s world have developed some progress in the way they communicate. They
have found some new tools that may allow them to communicate with people in the
other part of the world or even just to get updated with world’s issues or to
find needed information easily. All the tools are created to provide easy
access for people to the world. They enable people to communicate with other
people in the other part of the world.
One of the tools that provide the easy access
to the world is the internet. Through the internet, people are able to access
social networking sites that allow them to get interacted with many people in
the world. One of the most used and famous sites is Facebook.
It cannot be denied that Facebook has become
part of most people especially our teenagers. Most of teenagers of today’s
world seem unable to live without accessing to the Facebook even just for a day.
Facebook has become their second breath.
I do realize that Facebook brings some good
effects for its users. It enables its users to communicate with other people,
to share many things with friends, to join some particular groups, to meet
friends or family, and many more. Nevertheless, in the other hand, I do also
realize that Facebook is such a double-edged blade. In one hand, it can protect
you, but in the other hand, it may kill you. Facebook not only brings good
effects, but also unhealthy or bad effects for its users. What are the bad
effects? How could they be bad for the users? They all will be discussed more
in this essay.
